Job Title: Light Commercial HVAC Sales

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Sell and support light commercial projects for the company and support the current customer base as a solutions provider in replacement light commercial projects.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supply equipment replacement quotes to existing customers for aging systems.
- Provide design details (including installation lay out and designs) for installation of items ordered by the customer
- Obtain signed contracts
- Order equipment and materials necessary to complete the customer’s order
- Arrange for all permits, sub-contractors, and equipment rentals
- Produce project job package for supervisor, installers, and warehouse personnel
- Schedule project date with customer while communicating with the dispatcher
- Handle all financial aspects of sales including down payments, final payments, rebates, incentives, financing, etc.
- Prospect for new sales opportunities 25 tons and less, inside the Newcomb & Company service base.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Offer different options and solutions for customers that best suit their individual needs
2) Prepare commission request sheets and review all jobs sold and billed for profit margins
3) Ensure additional level of quality control
4) Assist in training of new sales personnel
5) Participate in classes and training opportunities to stay current with new products and trends
6) Obtain customers through referral
7) Contact slow paying customers to collect money due to Newcomb and Company
8) Qualify projects for noncontract customers that are 25 tons & less.
Physical Requirements & Job Environment
- All candidates for this position should be reasonably physically fit and capable of picking up a 60 lb. tool, piece of equipment or piece of material and moving it about either on a jobsite, at a vendor, our warehouse, etc. See other specific physical job requirements in the table below:

- All Salespersons typically load and unload materials for projects and move these materials into place at the project. This may involve movement carrying a load in tight and difficult situations and on uneven terrain.
- All candidates may be required to climb and work off ladders and aerial lifts as required to accomplish their work within buildings and on roofs.
- All candidates will be familiar with the safe operation and capable of using hammer type drills and similar tools.
- Environmental conditions may range from outdoors at all times of the year to indoors at normal office conditions to indoor utility plants.
