Position Title: Electrician Technician
Department: Facilities
Employment Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Summary/General Description:
An Electrician Technician performs a variety of maintenance and repair duties on mechanical or electrical equipment, machinery, or structure of establishments to ensure a safe and efficient operation at all the LDC establishments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and repair all electrical systems including but not limited to fuses, breakers, lighting, motors, motor controls, and wiring.
- Maintain, repair and replace all equipment, building or fixtures as needed (e.g., electrical components, controls, belts, shelves, toilets, sinks, urinals and drains).
- Maintain air conditioner & plumbing systems.
- Work on special projects as the need arises.
- Clean and lubricate machine parts.
- Follow directions and work of others.
- Assist with small construction tasks such as handling and/or transportation of equipment and materials.
- Ensure proper care of the maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Inform appropriate management of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
- Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
- Climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
- Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed.
- Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety; maintain calmness in emergency situations.
- Maintain a high level of safety.
- Maintain a high degree of precision working with minimum tolerances.

- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have three years of relevant work experience.
Licensing & Certification:
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
- Power lift to perform tasks up to 40 ft.
- Power tools, multimeter, K250 electric power sewer snake and welding machine.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Requires the ability to balance/climb, bend over, crouch/stoop, drive, hear, kneel, reach overhead, stand, talk, walk, and turn/twist 51-100% of the time.
- Requires the ability to sit 25-50% of the time.
- Requires the ability to push/pull 1-25 lbs. 25-50% of the time and 25-50+lbs. 51-100% of the time.
- Requires the ability to carry 1-25 lbs. 51-100 % of the time; 25-50 lbs. 25-50% of the time; and 50+ lbs. 1-24% of the time.
- Requires the ability to lift 1-50 lbs. 51-100% of the time and 50+ lbs. 25-50% of the time.
- Requires the ability to slide/transfer 1-50+ lbs. 51-100% of the time.
Essential Mental Demands:
- Requires the ability to solve problems, organize, plan, make decisions and read 51-100% of the time.
- Requires the ability to interpret data and write 25-50% of the time.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Work Environment (inside/outside):
- The job is performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to high and cold temperatures, loud noises and fumes. The job is also performed with occasional exposure to confined areas and fumes.
Other Requirements:
- Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna’s Gaming Control Board and must provide/maintain a valid New Mexico drivers’ license,
- Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screening.
