Role: HVAC/Refrigeration Technician
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
· Provide accurate diagnosis for reactive service calls and make repairs as indicated by work order, meeting contractual deadlines. Ensuring equipment is operating properly before leaving customer premises
· Ability to locate and identify and repair refrigerant leaks
· Demonstrate an understanding and adhere to all work safety policies and procedures.
· Build relationships with customers by providing excellent service and support.
· Utilize your strong skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair and maintain commercial refrigeration equipment such as
· Complete electronic Work Order
· Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers
· Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle
· Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business (new unit/ system, PM contracts, and additional services)
· Leave customer premises clean, ensuring any messes have been cleaned up prior to closing out service call.
Primary areas of expertise include:
· Knowledge of refrigeration, electrical and microprocessor control systems
· Strong mechanical aptitude skills
· HVACR systems with strong understanding of commercial refrigeration systems
· Must be proficient in the use of hand tools
· Basic electrical experience needed
· Must be good with communication both written and verbal
· Must be proficient in using laptops, smart phones, tablets, as part of the Service delivery
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Two-year degree from a HVACR technical school or 3 years of experience preferred working on commercial refrigeration equipment such as walk-in coolers/freezers, racks, evaporators, condensers, cases, ice machines, etc.
· Communication and customer service skills
· Familiar with electronic Work Order systems
· Must be able to work independently and without supervision
· EPA certification
· Valid Texas Driver License
· OSHA 10 to obtained
· Physically able to climb ladders and to lift objects up to fifty pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
