At LCRA, we are seeking a motivated Multi-craft Operations/Maintenance Supervisor to join our team! This position will have a focus on electrical/operations which is essential to the success of LCRA’s Dam & Hydro team’s mission. If you are looking for a role that allows you to supervise, coordinate and direct daily activities of skilled electrical & operations craft personnel at the six LCRA Dam’s, then we have an opportunity for you! This role oversees the daily operation & electrical maintenance/repairs of (13) hydro generation units & infrastructure, while working in and around high voltage equipment in a power plant environment. This position also supports river operations during flood events in the Lower Colorado River Basin, through flood gate operations. You would manage their assigned crew so that all scheduled work is completed safely, efficiently, with the highest degrees of quality, and as planned. This position works with crew members & planner/scheduler professionals, planning functions and scheduling functions to continually improve and develop the safety and effectiveness of work processes. Note: Position schedule Mon-Fri from 7am-3:30pm
You will be trusted to:
- Review scheduled Electrical & Operational work orders with crew(s) daily and reviews safety requirements or concerns for each scheduled job. Utilizes Maximo (CMMS) to monitor completion of complex and detailed repairs, installation and maintenance of equipment in assigned areas.
- Work with scheduling functions to develop available employee-hour forecast for all scheduling periods to include tracking upcoming annual leave, sick leave, training, meetings, etc. so that all available employee hours can be scheduled.
- As a member of management, communicates regularly with crew members to ensure they are informed of all pertinent LCRA and plant related information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Monitor and track individual employee safety & quality performance and provides regular feedback to employees. Conducts formal performance reviews as required.
- Develop and track appropriate metrics to track the effectiveness of our work processes.
- Partner with plant management, engineering, asset management, maintenance and construction, supply chain, and SMEs in support of organizational goals.
You qualify with:
- Nine or more years of experience in power plant operations, maintenance, engineering, or other relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in power generation, engineering, business, science, math or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver's license

- Electrical Journeyman’s license through TDLR or equal work experience.
- Experience in operating and maintaining conventional gas and coal fired power plants.
- Experience in operating and maintaining a Hydro turbine-based power plants.

- Experience in developing and tracking metrics.
