Applicants must have good communication skills, utilize current mobile technology, and display a high level of professionalism and attention to detail in all they do. Strong logical troubleshooting skills are highly valued. The Marine Electrician will perform repairs and installations of electrical systems, wires, communication, audiovisual, security-related marine electronics products and AC/DC electrical systems.
Hold the ability to design and network various systems and work with customers to determine what products meet their needs. The ability to learn general installation and repair of other marine systems and equipment may be required as well.
A Marine Electrician will have the ability to:
- Wire rewire and install electrical systems following blue prints and diagrams.
- Install, configure, operate and troubleshoot electronic and equipment
- Install, configure, op Raymarine, Garmin, Simrad, B&G, KVH, Intellian & other Marine Systems.
- Setup an efficient work area in the field to perform quality service on boats in remote locations.
- Provide onboard diagnostic evaluations, implement equipment software updates and train customers in the proper operation of their Marine Electronics.
- Work from equipment manuals, network drawings, schematics and verbal instructions.
- Properly submit work orders, parts ordering forms and warranty registration information.
- Accurately maintain a schedule and demonstrate proper time-keeping methods.
- Follow company policies and procedures to maintain a high level of efficiency and professionalism.
- Follow workspace safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Work with various hand and power tools to professionally install or replace equipment.
- Other duties as requested.
Compensation:
- We offer competitive pay reflective of skill and experience level $40,00 - $70,000
