Master Electrician
POSITION SUMMARY
The Master Electrician plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all construction projects. This position reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for driving completion of the project according to the schedule, maintaining an organized and clean job site, managing materials and equipment, scheduling inspections, and communicating effectively with the Superintendent, Project Manager, Subcontractors, the Client and city authorities to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project plans, specifications, and jurisdictional requirements.

OBJECTIVES
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities at the job site.
- Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications and follows the job schedule.
- Maintain and/or communicate the construction schedule progress or delays with the Construction Manager.
- Identify and proactively solve problems that may affect the project timeline.
- Effectively communicate with and coordinate subcontractors
- Proactively identify poor craftsmanship and ensure it is rectified in a timely manner to prevent a large punch list.
- Prepare and send daily reports and OpenSpace videos on required days.
- Maintain an organized and clean job site to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Keep track of all materials and equipment delivered to the job site.
- Familiarize yourself with the location of materials and equipment within the onsite storage facilities and keep them clean and organized.
- Proactively educate yourself on all city required inspections and the scheduling process (i.e., online portal, or schedule by phone) ensuring that they are scheduled as required.
COMPETENCIES
- Demonstrated expertise in construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- In-depth understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately
- Proven experience in effectively managing and coordinating onsite construction activities.
- Strong organizational skills to oversee multiple tasks, schedules, and subcontractors.
- Ability to enforce safety protocols and ensure a secure and compliant work environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring that construction work meets or exceeds quality standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in supervision, management, or people leadership.
- Basic understanding of construction plans and specifications.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to evaluate and manage construction personnel.
- Ability to utilize construction reporting tools.

- Prolonged periods of time standing, speaking, walking, and/or sitting
- This position will require travel

Pay: $83,200.00 - $137,400.00 per year
