JTE Electrical Inc is seeking Certified Electricians and Certified General Foreman for Prevailing Wage and private work located in Northern California and surrounding areas.. General Foreman: Foreman will supervise and work with a crew of Journeyman and Apprentices engaged in electrical related tasks. Applicants must have commercial experience, be currently licensed by the State of California, and have experience running crews between 5-10 people.

- Create 3-week look ahead schedules
- Order material and understand work break down schedule
- Responsible for meeting/beating labor hours
- Track production
- Input time into Foundation
- Work with Superintendent and PM to document changes in scope of work
- Safety responsibilities
- Weekly Tailgate meetings, jobsite inspections, JHA's, IIPP, Lock Out/Tag Out, Heat Illness Prevention
- RFI's, Submittals, Change Orders and Daily's
- Value Engineering
- Mentor apprentices and journeyman
Journeyman Electrician: Working as a team with the entire construction department, the construction electrician performs a new installation of power distribution, transformers, lighting, and temporary construction power and electrical equipment up to 480 VAC.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting various types of electrical components.
- Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to plan work scopes, install requested improvements, and troubleshoot and correct problems.
- Consulting manuals, reading, and interpreting diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Performs a wide variety of job scopes.
- Displays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company.
- Completes tasks in a timely manner and provides feedback.
- Ability to complete job scopes outside of normal core competencies as required.
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety with the ability to thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning with an emphasis on identifying electrical hazards and proper safety procedures.
- Pull electrical wire including CAT 5, low voltage, and underground feeder wire.
- Dig trenches and work in trenches.
- Install and secure cables, raceways, and other conductors.
- Carry material and tools from location to location.
- Assist in moving and installing heavy electrical equipment.
- Electrical terminations
- Hand bending pipe and other forms of conduit
- Work on electrical panels and manage wires.
- Clean up individual work area as well as job site.
- Work on extension ladders, scaffolds, scissor lifts and other equipment.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid CA General Electrician License
- Possess a valid CA Driver’s License
- Excellent knowledge of NEC
- Experience working in a commercial or industrial setting
- Able to run crews
- Able to interpret plans and specifications
- Good verbal communication and organizational skills
- Dependable with dependable transportation
- Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and use of hands and arms to operate equipment.
- Applicants must hold a current valid Certified General Electrician Card and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $51.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 52 per week
