Cunningham and Associates needs an Operations Manager that can manage and grow a high-volume HVAC and plumbing service provider in both revenue and profitability. Maintaining and developing customer relations, excellent hiring skills, and ongoing training for the department along with positive motivational skills are essential. Development of procedures and goals, in line with the adherence to company policy and mission of the company, is expected. A great working relationship with colleagues and other managers and associates with an upbeat team spirit is sought and reciprocated.
As the Operations Manager, your essential responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Creating, communicating, and implementing the company vision, mission, and overall direction. Make sure that the direction is communicated on a level that allows every employee to feel as if they are part of something bigger than themselves and that their role is strategically important to the organization.
- Leading managers of multiple business layers of a successful HVAC and plumbing organization.
- Help formulate and implement the strategic plan for the company and work with all levels of the organization to execute it.
- Maintaining awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments and standards, and so forth.
- Lead company through change including opening new lines of business and forging into new markets.
- Evaluate the success of the organization using a set of strategically important measures to determine the ongoing success - or lack thereof - that the organization is experiencing. Use non-measurable aspects of the work environment to gauge other aspects of business success.
- Manage and develop the leadership staff, which includes hiring, terminating, and disciplining employees, scheduling employees, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling employees, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments to ensure effective use of resources and customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate workload in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits.
- Ensure all processes and procedures are followed.
- Observes all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
- Handle customer escalation issues/satisfaction.
- Identify and communicate where improvements can be utilized.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum (4) year experience with Microsoft Suite/Office (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook).
- Minimum 1 years of experience performing at a management level for an HVAC service business or related services company.
- Experience with management and conflict resolution.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience such Service Titan, is desirable.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Required Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.
- Persistence in conquering objectives.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication.
- Must be sales driven with the ability to lead and motivate sales and operational staff.
- Strong computer skills are essential; computer proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Heightened focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Proven leadership and coaching abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
