General Notes
Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours.
Purpose
To perform Journey and/or Master level multi-crafted technical trade skills including HVAC, electrical and plumbing in the performance of work required for the maintenance, repair and operations of the assigned facilities maintenance zone.
Responsibilities
-
Assist with journey level work in installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing of mechanical systems. Performs installation, maintenance, inspection, repair, and testing of heating, mechanical, electrical to include pumps, fans, and compressors. Sets up rigging required to set pumps/fans. Assists with pain ng of walls, railings and other areas within our facilities.

Assist with journey level work in installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing electrical components, electrical equipment, and systems. Responds to electrical and general maintenance related service calls. Performs installation, maintenance, inspection, modification, and repair of building and equipment, electrical systems and components. Tests electrical equipment for safety and accuracy. Changes lights,
ballasts and outlets.

Analyze computer generated work orders and prioritize repairs. Use troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques to perform work, identify systems and equipment malfunctions and coordinates repairs with other trades as needed. Inspect and evaluate work as needed to meet standards. Ensure shop safety.

Completes and submits paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and ensure to properly report any unsafe condition and fill out the required report of injury form if injured.

Drive a UT vehicle to transport equipment and supplies as needed to perform routine and preventive maintenance, and/or repairs.

Performs basic service on HVAC equipment including pumps, air handlers, changing out filters and other mechanical systems. Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs and performs startup of building automation systems networks devices and components. Reads and interprets profiles and blue prints.

Responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks independently or may assist journey level craft workers. Changes repair kits and flush valves on toilets. Changes shower and faucet heads. Repairs drinking fountains and urinals. Installs sinks. Changes door handles and inspects and repairs doors.

Assist with Pre-Game and Post-Game venue set-ups. Assists with stadium cleanup. Drives forklift and carts.

Required Qualifications
High school graduation or GED. Three years of experience in construction and/or maintenance and repair in a crafts trade of facilities maintenance. The three years of experience must include two years of experience in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to receive, respond, and follow through with written and verbal work-related instructions from supervisors, and co-workers. Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three-year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident. Applicant selected must have an acceptable 3 year driving record and maintain an acceptable driving record and valid license throughout employment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
More than 3 years of journey level experience in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC. Experience in Residential and Commercial HVAC equipment including rooftop package units, VAV systems, Boilers and control systems. Commercial and residential renovation experience, experience in commercial facility maintenance and repair.
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
Salary Range
$48,500 + depending on qualifications

Typical standard hours of work apply however may be required to work nights/weekends based on events.
Work Shift
Emergency On Call: Required to be on the on-call rotation schedule to respond to emergencies outside of normal work hours and during holidays, carry a UT cell phone, and make emergency repairs 24/7 as needed.
