Our continued growth has resulted in the need for a Start-Up Technician to join our Construction group. This position will assist with the installation, diagnostics, repair and maintenance of various commercial HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities -
- Must have technical expertise to service, perform maintenance and repair most: DX equipment; water source heat pumps and associated equipment; gas fired, and electric heating systems found in commercial equipment; direct expansion AC equipment; most gas fired, and electric heating systems typically found in systems; low voltage temperature-control systems generally associated with HVAC equipment and air handling equipment and duct systems associated with the commercial HVAC equipment.
- Starts system, observes operation, reads gauges and instruments, and adjusts mechanisms, such as valves, controls, and pumps to control level of fluid, pressure, and temperature in system.
- Replaces or adjusts defective or worn parts to repair systems.
- Proper diagnosis of malfunctioning equipment.
- Clean condenser and evaporator coils, fans, ductwork. Change air filters.
Required Qualifications -
At least 1 year of commercial relevant experience.
EPA Universal License Preferred.
Knowledge of refrigeration equipment and operation. Familiar with light Air Balancing and static pressure principles. Familiar with chilled and hot water systems and boilers.
Strong trouble shooting skills.
Capable of working on ladders, lifts, or roofs.
