Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team at Cummings Electrical for new commercial and industrial construction projects across the DFW area and throughout Texas.
As a pivotal member of our electrical team, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in both commercial and industrial settings, ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards throughout all project phases.
A current and active Texas Journeyman Electrician license is required for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in new commercial and/or industrial construction settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications to determine wiring layout, equipment, and fixture placement.
- Perform wiring, conduit bending, and install electrical components such as lighting, switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
- Test electrical systems and circuits using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure safety and compatibility.
- Inspect electrical systems and components for hazards, defects, and needed repairs or replacements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment, and properly store tools, equipment, and materials.
- Collaborate with contractors, construction teams, and project managers for timely project completion.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial and industrial electrical work.
- Licensed as an Electrical Journeyman in the state of Texas.
- Reliable transportation for commuting to various job sites.
- Proficient in working from descriptions and blueprints.
- Expertise in running electrical conduit with precision.
- Capable of layout and wiring, termination, and understanding of electrical drawings for complex critical electrical tie-ins and outages.
