Overview
Catalyst is currently looking for a Licensed Plumber located in Austin, Texas who would be interested in trading in the ups and downs of running their own business, to bring their time and their license to work as a full time salaried employee for modular home and new construction projects with a focus on yard lines and hookups for water, gas and wastewater. The Licensed Plumber with a minimum of 4 years as a journeyman is accountable for inspecting, testing, repairing,installing, and modifying plumbing components and systems of projects from beginning to end.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Installing the service connections for wastewater and pressurized service water and connecting
- back to the new homes when they are craned in, along some occasional Interior plumbing work
- Collaborate with team lead intendent to maintain project flow and schedule
- Enforce all NEC local codes and stay up to date on industry changes
- Interpret drawings, sketches, software, plans and determines best work procedures, tools,
- equipment needed to install, troubleshoot, and repair problems
- Test and start up systems to ensure plumbing compatibility and safety of components by testing
- systems
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and needs for
- adjustments, relocation, or replacement
- Operate plumbing and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, and other necessary tools for
- modular home connections to the grid.
- Work with local building officials to schedule inspections, and re-inspections as required to
- obtain ultimate project sign-off
- Troubleshoot existing and new construction homes for plumbing issues and self perform repairs
- as needed without a crew.
- Material takeoffs and ordering
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in prefabricated and
- modular construction to optimize plumbing project outcomes.
- Take ownership and responsibility for the completion of the project while conducting business in
- a professional and ethical manner to serve clients and increase the goodwill and profit of the
- company.

- to take a project to the finish line.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, showing high level of prioritization
- Accurately complete and maintain necessary documentation, including work orders, time logs, and inspection reports.
Qualifications
- License: Fully license in the state of Texas and able to be plumber of record on building permits, sign offs and Certificate of occupancy
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a journeyman plumber.
- 2+ years or 10+ project experience within the Austin, TX area.
- Experience with service connections with city and county utility companies
- Experience in Austin city building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices
- Plus if you have experience with modular home construction and connections
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- High level of computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft office and Google suite
- Work effectively in high pressure, time sensitive situations

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00 - $32.59 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
