What you will do:

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for repairing commercial buses under
warranty and resolving customers' concerns on product failures via provided mobile
service vehicle or airplane.
This is a remote role based out of your home office mid-west of the United States.
The position does require traveling most of the time supporting mid-west customers.
A work vehicle as well as required tools will be provided.
Your responsibilities...
● Travel 75% of the time across the mid-west of the United States
● Conduct full maintenance training courses on various heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for transit bus and school bus systems to mechanics, technicians and management teams
● Service/repair/replace HVAC systems on buses when required
● Meet regularly with the North American Service Manager to provide status on completed work
● Attend internal meetings as needed
● Work closely with the Spheros Engineering and Quality teams
● Follow standards and work instructions and support the creation of standards when needed
● Complete field service and training reports and file with North American Service Manager timely and accurately
● Maintain highest security protocols to keep sensitive and protected customer and or company information confidential and secured
● Ensures compliance with all safety procedures and standards including, but not limited to, performing tasks safely, wearing required personal protective equipment, maintaining a clean working area and implementing safety improvements.
● Escalate challenges and impediments to meeting customer’s expectations.
● Maintain professional and positive relations with team members.
● May train other team members on various maintenance practices for the various systems offer by Spheros North America
● Comply with all company conduct rules
What you should have:
● You will support mid-west Spheros customers with HVAC bus services
● You have experience training in either automotive or residential HVAC systems
● You have a High School Diploma or GED, college degree is preferred
● You have work experience with repairs of automotive heating and air conditioning units
● You have knowledge of 600V + electrical systems or ability to read a wiring diagram
● You have the ability to travel internationally “Canada & Mexico on occasion”
● You are able to read technical drawings and prints
● You have demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair automotive air conditioning units over the phone
● You have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
● You are detail oriented and accurate
● You have a high degree of accountability and ownership
● You have strong organization skills
● You show proficiency in computer software- Microsoft Office, Google, etc.
● You have the ability to work in a team environment
● You are able to work independently with minimal supervision
● You have demonstrated ability to satisfy customers
