An HVAC Assistant Service Manager is responsible for supporting the Service Manager to ensure service productivity, company standards, and continued correspondence between RSC Electrical & Mechanical Contractors and clients. The assistant Service Manager is also responsible for increasing company value and maintaining personnel. TECHNICAL SKILLS • Knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and • equipment • Commercial building management, reporting, and operation • Large tonnage operations • Seasonal changeover and readiness • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues • Understanding of technical training and educational resources LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS • Ability to lead and co-lead a team of service technicians • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Experience in budgeting, goal setting, and performance management • Ability to provide technical training and support to team members and superiors DESIRED EDUCATION • High School Diploma • GED • Tradesman Apprenticeship WORK EXPERIENCE • 5-10 years Field Experience • Knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and equipment. • Commercial building management, reporting, and operation. • Ability to lead a team project from start to completion • Understanding various components of the HVAC system COMMUNICATION SKILLS • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and other stakeholders. • Ability to communicate in a level-headed manner under pressure or scrutiny. • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills COMPUTER SKILLS • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel • Familiarity with QuickBooks and cloud-based call-booking software • Ability to efficiently manage critical data Licenses and Certifications: • HVAC Licensed and Certified • R-410A, EPA, 608, and NATE Certifications highly valued/preferred
