HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an HVAC technician, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, inspect, and adjusting residential and light commercial HVAC systems and equipment. In this full-time position, you will work 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with the possibility of working any day of the week depending on the schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Inspect HVAC systems and their components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance
- Verify system compliance with plans and specifications and detect malfunctions in system component parts
- Install heating and air conditioning equipment and systems to provide enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities
- Install wiring to connect components to electric power source.
- Cut, thread, gas weld, and connect pipe to functional components of HVAC systems.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance as needed to ensure ongoing functioning of HVAC systems
- Requisition material and supplies, call vendors to discuss needs for parts and supplies, and recommend purchases and suppliers
- Coordinate with other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to read and understand system blueprints
- Attend classes and seminars on air conditioning components and system design to update skills.
- Perform other routine duties as deemed necessary by Site Manager.
- Understand client’s concerns: Respond to associated Hot/Cold temperature complaints. Discuss system malfunctions with users to isolate problems. Record temperature, pressure, and other readings on log sheet at specified intervals.
In addition, you should have a diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and three to five years of progressive and relevant experience. Universal Recovery Certification, Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification, EPA Universal or Type I, II and III may also be considered. Graduating from an accredited HVAC training program is preferred, but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
We have multiple locations and offer a typical start time of 7:30 AM and end time of 4:30 PM. This is a full-time position with no weekends required.
