As the Marketing and Communication Lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective communication strategies that enhance our brand awareness, customer experience, and sales performance. You will work closely with the marketing team, product team, and eventually the sales team to create and deliver engaging and persuasive content across various channels, such as print, web, email, and social media. You will also monitor and analyze the impact of your communication efforts and provide recommendations for improvement.
Create and implement communication plans that align with our marketing objectives and target audiences.
Write, edit, and proofread clear and compelling copy for various platforms and formats, such as brochures, flyers, newsletters, press releases, testimonials, case studies, and white papers.
With the assistance of graphic designers, design and produce attractive and user-friendly materials, such as agent and consumer brochures, company decks, insurance applications, and supplemental forms.
Manage and update our website and associated accounts with relevant and timely content.
Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as business area managers, partners, and agencies.
Coordinate and manage the review and approval process for collateral using appropriate software.
Research and monitor industry trends, best practices, and competitor activities and incorporate them into your communication strategies.
Measure and report on the performance and effectiveness of your communication campaigns and activities using analytics tools and metrics.
Ensure that all communication materials comply with our brand guidelines, tone of voice, and legal and ethical standards.
Other duties as needed to support the marketing team.
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, journalism, business or a related field.
Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience in marketing communication, preferably in the insurance industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make insurance marketing engaging and easy to understand.
Strong knowledge and skills in copywriting, graphic design, and content creation.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, review and approval workflow tools, and other communication software and tools.
Familiar with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and web analytics tools.
Creative, innovative, and detail-oriented, with a keen eye for quality and aesthetics.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Passionate about insurance and marketing and eager to learn and grow.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Experience in marketing and communications at the corporate level.
Experience and comfort working with in house and external content partners.
Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
Professional and confident communicator and presenter.
Experience or understanding of life insurance and/or long-term care products or the financial services industry as a whole is a plus.
Familiarity with industry marketing regulations is a plus.
Proficient in MS Office.
