JW Heating and Air is looking for highly skilled HVAC Service Technicians to join our team. The successful candidate must have experience with all types of HVAC systems and how each component within the system operates. Candidates must be knowledgeable & work efficiently with great attention to detail. They should be able to educate clients on ideal home air quality solutions and have great customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools to inspect, repair, and conduct maintenance on air conditioning systems, furnaces, coils, and compressors
- Demonstrate respect and compassion when communicating with clients on work performed and on recommendations for repairs or replacement
- Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records
- Complete all tasks in accordance with JW quality and safety standards
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (internal and/or external)
- Meet sales goals and metrics
- Additional responsibilities as needed determined by the HVAC Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician
- EPA Universal Certification
- Experience in setting units
- Hands-on experience in brazing, zoning, mini splits, and e-pumps.
- Experience with overall operations of the HVAC and Heating systems as a whole.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work with a high degree of integrity and promote a positive company image
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Must have a current and valid drivers license in the state in which you are applying to work

Physical Demands:
- The principal duties of this position are performed in a variety of environments, including customer homes, the outdoors, and field environments at development and work sites on uneven and rough terrain.
- Required to work in outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, and temperature swings, for extended periods of time.
- Requires concentration and attention to detail; requires a high level of organizational and prioritization skills.
- Standing up to 8 hours per day; Walking up to 8 hours per day on uneven, difficult terrain.
- Occasional heavy manual labor to include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Regular and repetitive grasping, gripping, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and working overhead.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others and to convey detailed spoken instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, or alarms).
