As a Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician, you will be working with a crew of solar installers to install our systems (primarily residential projects). You will interact directly with our customers at their homes, answering their questions and providing useful information, and embody our culture and values.
You will ensure that all our solar systems are functioning properly and will resolve any issues that arise.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Install projects as contracted and designed
- Install electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of residential solar PV systems
- Obtain all required materials to complete assigned project, including renting special construction equipment
- All electrical work meets or exceeds current National Electrical Code as well as local jurisdiction requirements
- Build residential PV and energy storage systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical component and system issues in AC&DC circuits
- Lead safety efforts for work best practices with the Field Operations team
- Review project packets for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure a quality installation experience for the customer
- Oversee and effectively communicate with local inspectors
- Work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Reports directly to the Master Electrician
- Handle Site Surveys and service calls as needed

Qualifications:
- Have 5+ years of electrical experience
- Have 3 or more years of experience working in the solar industry preferred
- Possess current and valid electrical licensing (Journeyman/Journeywoman card)
- Have the ability to perform advanced electrical calculations
- Have knowledge of 2014 and 2017 NEC and the ability to navigate it
- Maintain an understanding of wire, conduit sizing, and how to make adjustments for environmental factors
- Have 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting one-line drawings and electrical schematics
- Have working knowledge and 5+ years experience in replacing electrical services and distribution panels
- Have the ability to work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills
- Possess a valid driver’s license and operating vehicle
- Are comfortable climbing ladders and work on roofs using PPE and working in various environments (hot/cold weather, hot/cold attics, crawl spaces, etc.)
- Are able to properly lift 50-70 lbs

Pay: $72,800.00 - $83,200.00 per year
