POSITION DETAILS
We are searching for the right candidate to join our team as a Technical Support Specialist.
Primary objectives of this position:
The ideal candidate in this position will:
- Prepare and Conduct semi-annual technical training classes on Carrier HVAC equipment.
- Provide daily Technical Support over the phone and through e-mail to customers and contractors in the field.
- Provide Application support to internal and external customers.
- Respond to customer warranty inquiries and provide claim analysis and details regarding claim status, payments, and credits.
- Negotiate Warranty disputes between Manufacturers and customers.
- Provide occasional site visit support to assist contractors and technicians in diagnosing difficult or elusive problems.
- Possess experience with Ductless and/or VRF application, Installation, Troubleshooting, including their control systems .
- Support the Service Manager and the service and warranty staff.
- Attending training classes (on site and off site).
Qualifications:
- Understanding of web based HVAC thermostat controls and IP addressing.
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems.
- Must be computer literate with Microsoft operating systems.
- MS office suite proficiency Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat / DC
- Customer Service experience required
- High school degree minimum
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and record keeping skills
- Ability to climb ladders, and not afraid of heights
- Problem solving skills
