Flo-Rite Mechanical is flourishing and we're in search of a Building Automation Systems Controls Engineer to join our family and play an integral role in the growth of the controls dvision. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and program increasingly advanced building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms
- Document and communicate technical building automation system design and revisions for project team
- Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems
- Program functional testing for complex building systems prior to implementation
- Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks
- Effectively manage projects from conceptualization to completion
- Escalate issues on projects in a timely manner
- Estimation and oversight of costs (materials, equipment, and labor) of assigned BAS projects
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Controls/Building Automation Systems experience
- Proficient with primary functions of building automation systems software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, services and associated engineering tools; Tridium Niagara in current use.
- Proficient with written sequences of operations and diagrammatic depictions of systems
- Knowledge of third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc
- Hands-on field HVAC Technician experience
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment, and lifting items up to 50lbs
- Familiar with Microsoft Products and computer skills
- Excellent Customer Service/Communication Skills
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Pass national criminal background check
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record
- High School Diploma or GED
Additional qualifications that would be beneficial in this role include:
- Advanced Experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry
- Functional knowledge of Enterprise IP networks, Microsoft Visio, or similar software
- Project and/or people management experience in the HVAC/Controls space.
- Degree in an Engineering or Construction discipline (not required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
