We are seeking a skilled and reliable Traveling Industrial Electrician to join our team. This position involves traveling to various industrial sites to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in industrial electrical systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to travel as needed to meet customer requirements across multiple locations.

Industrial Electrician Responsibilities:
- Travel to various industrial sites for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, including motors, controllers, transformers, and more.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems, identifying potential issues and addressing them before they result in equipment failure or downtime.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing equipment, pinpointing issues and making necessary repairs.
- Install and calibrate electrical control systems, sensors, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), and other related systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations during all work performed.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs for all travel assignments.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment, as well as upgrades to existing electrical systems to meet evolving operational needs.
- Work closely with on-site personnel and teams to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and to solve any electrical challenges that arise.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and urgent repair needs at various sites as required.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up to date on emerging technologies and electrical best practices.
Industrial Electrician Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship or technical training in industrial electrical systems is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, motor controls, PLCs, and other industrial electrical components.
- Experience reading electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient with electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical codes (NEC, OSHA, etc.) and safety protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be comfortable traveling frequently, sometimes on short notice, to multiple locations.
- Valid electrical license or certification preferred (depending on jurisdiction).
- Experience with PLCs and automated control systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting variable frequency drives (VFDs) and other electrical equipment used in industrial settings.
