Summary
As a Journeyperson Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations. Reporting to the Plumbing Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in plumbing, hand tools, and power tools to execute tasks efficiently. Additionally, your relevant skills in blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and heavy lifting will be essential in delivering high-quality workmanship while contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
10-20 years of experience
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools
- Weld or solder joints to join pipes and fittings
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters and HVAC technicians, to complete projects
- Adhere to safety standards and building codes
Qualifications:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber license or equivalent certification
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Plumber or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and techniques
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
- Strong mathematical skills for measuring, calculating pipe lengths, angles, and dimensions
