We are KIA, FORD, and CHEVROLET new car dealerships on Oakland's Auto Row in Uptown Oakland seeking qualified individuals for open Automotive Technician and EV / Electric Vehicle Technician Positions. Service Technician is responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Examines customer and dealership vehicles.
- Identifies necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Maintains Customer Satisfaction Scores at or above company standards.
- Performs vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Documents services performed in writing.
- Performs services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines.
- Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
- Completes required online and in person training.
- Requests necessary parts.
- Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
Technician Qualifications:
- ASE certifications, smog certified, and/or automotive technician education a plus
- Experience in general maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of asian vehicles a plus, although we are willing to train the right motivated individuals
- Good communication skills
- A high level of motivation and demonstrated ability to learn and succeed.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
