Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Director of Facilities within the Restaurant industry. The Director of Facilities will oversee the operational efficiency, maintenance, and repair of all restaurant locations. This role is responsible for managing building systems, equipment, and the overall facility infrastructure to ensure smooth, safe, and cost-effective operations. The Director will also lead budgeting, vendor relationships and all capex projects. This position will require travel (30%) to our existing restaurants and potential for our future restaurant openings.
Candidates without experience in the Facilities space of Full-Service restaurants will not be considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Facility Management: Oversee the upkeep and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment, and other key infrastructure. Ensure all locations are compliant with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular inspections and analyze data to address issues proactively and minimize downtime.
- Vendor & Contractor Management:Manage relationships with external vendors for maintenance, repairs, and equipment servicing. Negotiate contracts, ensure service quality, and track vendor performance. Ensure competitive pricing while maintaining high standards of service.
- Budgeting & Financial Oversight:Develop, manage, and track the facilities budget, including capital projects and ongoing maintenance costs. Forecast expenses, monitor actual spending, and identify areas for cost savings. Provide financial reports to senior leadership and ensure that all facilities-related expenditures align with business goals.
- Project Management:Lead and manage renovation and remodel projects, including overseeing design, budgeting, and execution. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with brand standards.
- Team Leadership & Development:Lead the facility manager and maintenance staff, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a Facilities Director role for a Full-Service Restaurant group
- 10 years of facilities and support services experience to include an acute understanding of facilities maintenance operations and maintenance best practices.
- Certified Restaurant Facility Professional or equivalent certification
- Budgeting and forecasting experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication, supervisory and leadership abilities
- Experience in remote facilities management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
