Position Overview
The DDC Building Control Engineer and Programmer will report directly to the Project Delivery Technical Manager. In this dynamic role, you’ll engage in fieldwork, tackle complex engineering challenges, and create custom system programming, all while contributing to energy efficiency and sustainability.
Your responsibilities will include system programming, project start-up, check-out, testing, commissioning, project management, and customer service for DDC control system projects.
Collaboration with the HVAC service team will also be a key aspect of the role, ensuring seamless service, maintenance, and troubleshooting across various installed systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Engineering and Programming:
- Design and implement comprehensive DDC control systems.
- Program and test building automation systems to achieve energy efficiency.
- Assist with physical device check-out, start-up, and commissioning.
- Customer Support and Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues.
- Provide technical support, training, and re-commissioning services.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, foremen, and the energy services team.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and meet customer satisfaction.
- Sales and Growth Opportunities:
- Supplement income by selling service and analytics agreements with a 3% commission on Annual Service Agreement Sales.
- Promote building analytics, alarm monitoring, automated reporting, and training programs to customers.

Requirements
- Availability for occasional overnight travel.
- Ability to perform physical installation tasks, such as working on ladders or lifts.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Personal hand tools and protective equipment.
- Hands on experience with DDC - Direct Control Systems, PLC - Programmable Logic Controllers or DCS - Distributed Control Systems.
- Experience with Schneider Electric, Automated Logic, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens, Distech, Delta or Allen Bradley systems preferred.
