Position Summary:
What you'll do:
- Responsible for minor repairs, maintenance and landscaping. Also responsible for ensuring the quality and completion of all maintenance and repair work performed by outside vendors and contractors.
- Responsible for keeping the Director of Operations and the Associate Director of Facilities advised of the condition of the buildings, mechanical systems, safety systems, grounds, equipment, and vehicles owned by Casa Esperanza, Inc.
- Responsibility for working with the Director of Operations and the Associate Director of Facilities to ensure that all repairs and work requests are entered into work orders and that all work orders are dispatched and completed in a timely way.
- Responsible for the appearance of the properties and the condition and safety of all the common areas, mechanical rooms, maintenance shop and work areas
- Responsible for the safe operations and usage of all machinery owned and used by Casa Esperanza for maintenance, includes but not limited to, agency van, agency truck, snowplow, snow blowers, Riding lawn mower and floor scrubber machine.
- Responsible for inventory control of all supplies and materials used for the daily maintenance and repair of properties.
- Responsible for site safety and knowledge of current OSHA regulations and ensuring those maintenance employees are trained in OSHA compliance
- Responsible for participating in the property inspections that are conducted by the licensing and inspecting agencies and organizations involved with the Casa Esperanza Inc properties and programs and ensuring that any problems identified or repairs needed are promptly corrected and that Program Managers receive the information they need to respond to the inspection reports.
- Responsibility for ensuring that there is a 24-hour emergency response for maintenance, security systems and fire alarm systems.
- Responsible for making purchases with the approval of the Director of Operations and the Associate Director Responsible for submitting all purchase receipts along with a Casa Esperanza’s purchase request form to the Director of Operations and the Associate Director
- Participates in Property Management meetings and provides oral or verbal reports as directed.
- Monitor cleaning company staff to ensure all cleaning duties are performed
- Ensures that all hallways and staircases are clear and safe.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance of facilities according to property maintenance plan. Adheres to daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and maintenance schedules.
- Inspects property to determine prevent and address any pest issues.
- Ensures Emergency lights, exit lights and other lights are in working order daily.
- Reports any damages or needed repairs to Director of Operations and the Associate Director of Facilities.
- Responsible for all landscaping and grounds maintenance for all Casa Esperanza, Inc. properties including snow removal, salting, raking, mowing, and trash pick-up and removal.
- Addresses minor emergency maintenance needs such as spills, clogs and other hazards.
- Responsible for all unit turnovers including cleaning, painting and other required repairs as requested.
- Completes daily work orders as prioritized by the Director of Operations and the Associate Director of Facilities.
- Valid Massachusetts Driving License
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Operations and the Associate Director of Facilities.

- Supervisory responsibilities: Guidance, assistance, and supervision of all vendors working on Casa Esperanza’s grounds.
- Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in building maintenance
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of constructions/building repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Maintenance, building, sanitation and landscaping system skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, use of database
- Ability to communicate effectively with Program Directors, contractors, agencies, and staff.
- Experience working in residential treatment or supportive housing environment, preferred.
- Knowledge of sanitation, cleaning supplies, and safety procedures including Universal Precautions.
- Strong time management skills
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Bilingual, English/Spanish
- At least 2 years of experience on building repairs
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Ability to meet the training requirements of the position
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license
- High School Diploma preferred
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Facilities Training Certificate preferred
- Intermediate/Advanced skills in MicroMain a PLUS

As part of the Casa Esperanza, Inc. team, the Clinician will provide services in a fully integrated, holistic, and collaborative manner using a team-treatment approach, to ensure the coordination of all client services, both across Casa programs as well as with external providers. This integrated model aims to facilitate clear communication amongst all providers and eliminate duplication of efforts or conflicting approaches to care; detail necessary follow up and assignments; and ensure-wrap around support services are in place to maximize treatment effectiveness and clinical outcomes.

Essential Functions:
Client Care
- Provide individual therapy, couple therapy, and family therapy
- Provides crisis intervention counseling, with referrals to ongoing mental health services when needed.
- Utilizes case conferencing and the program team to coordinate and ensure client treatment plans are effective and appropriate.
- Engages external and internal service providers to better meet clients’ needs.
- Provides group treatment using evidence-based practices including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Relapse Prevention, Relational and Psychodynamic therapy, etc., as needed.
- Participate in weekly clinical meetings to provide updates and assist in decision-making related to treatment planning and implementation.
- Functions as a resource to the rest of the team on mental health related issues and assists in the various components of this program.

Administrative
- Ensures adherence to program treatment philosophies and policies.
- Maintains client and program records in accordance with agency requirements and timelines.
- Assist with utilization management, which includes assessing the appropriateness, effectiveness, and medical need for services.
- Work with the Billing Specialist to ensure authorizations are up to date & units have not expired.
- Assist in all reporting as required by supervisors.
- Attending all training and professional development opportunities as required.
- Attends mandatory weekly MDT meetings.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field.
- Participate in weekly programmatic and clinical supervision.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree required in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field, required.
- Experience working with a psychiatric, substance-using, co-occurring population.
- Spanish Bilingual Required.
- Familiarity with working in a strength-based, trauma-informed environment.
- Knowledge of appropriate community resources.
- Knowledge of the issues affecting people with HIV/AIDS in recovery from substance use/alcoholism.
- Experience with individuals dealing with homelessness, mental illness, domestic violence, and the criminal justice system.
- Experienced in crisis management and intervention.
- Experience providing individual, family, and group interventions to the target population.
- Strong verbal/written communication.
- Ability to work as both an effective team member and independently.
- Knowledge & Practice of evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention and motivational interviewing techniques, preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements and training requirements of the position.
