Silverstone Construction is seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as Senior Carpenters, Junior Carpenters, Helpers/Apprentices, and a Maintenance/Property Manager. Position Descriptions:
Senior Carpenter
- Lead and execute general carpentry tasks, including framing, repairs, drywall installation, and finish carpentry.
- Install windows, exterior doors, cabinetry, decking, and appliances with precision.
- Oversee and guide junior carpenters and helpers on-site, ensuring quality workmanship.
- Collaborate with project managers to meet timelines and budgets.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction or carpentry.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction plans.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Junior Carpenter
- Assist senior carpenters in general carpentry tasks, including framing, drywall installation, and repairs.
- Participate in the installation of windows, doors, decking, cabinets, and appliances.
- Support site cleanup and material handling.
- Develop skills and knowledge through on-the-job training.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in carpentry or construction.
- Basic knowledge of tools and construction techniques.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the trade.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions.
Helper/Apprentice
- Support senior and junior carpenters in all phases of construction work.
- Pick up, move, and organize materials on-site.
- Perform site cleanup and maintain a tidy workspace.
- Assist with framing, drywall, and minor installations as directed.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; a strong desire to learn and grow is essential.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in the DMV area.
- Positive attitude and willingness to take on any task.
Maintenance/Property Manager
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs for residential properties, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors for specialized repairs.
- Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and property owners promptly.
- Keep properties clean and well-maintained, including landscaping and exterior upkeep.
- Maintain records of completed work and property updates.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property maintenance or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently.
