Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings. The technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC equipment while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand system layouts and specifications.
- Perform field service tasks including troubleshooting and diagnosing system malfunctions.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Repair or replace defective components using mechanical knowledge and equipment repair skills.
- Weld components as necessary to ensure secure fittings and connections within HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with team members to design effective solutions for complex HVAC challenges.
- Plumb new installations or modifications as required for system upgrades or repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC/R systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints related to HVAC installations.
- Experience in field service operations with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to perform equipment repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Welding skills are a plus for performing necessary repairs on HVAC components.
- Familiarity with air conditioning systems and their maintenance requirements.
- Knowledge of plumbing principles as they relate to HVAC installations is beneficial.
