POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Electrician to join our team, specializing in commercial construction as well as residential and commercial service work. Under the supervision of licensed electricians, you will gain hands-on experience, develop your technical skills, and assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. OBJECTIVES
· Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in commercial construction and residential/commercial service environments.
· Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.
· Install conduit, wiring, fixtures, and other electrical components as directed.
· Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tasks to identify and resolve electrical issues.
· Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
· Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients.
· Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and functional condition.
· Attend training sessions and classes to enhance technical knowledge and obtain necessary certifications.
COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
● High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
● Enrollment in or eligibility to enroll in an electrical apprenticeship program.
● Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and equipment.
● Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
● Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
● Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced electricians.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
· Previous experience or training in electrical work.
· Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
· Basic knowledge of commercial construction and residential service practices.
· OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting up to 50lbs, standing for long periods, and working in various environments.
● This position may require some travel: up to 40%
