Engineering Manager - Refrigeration / Manufacturing experience)

(On Premise Position) Need 2-4 years of management experience
A manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment, specializing in product displays has a unique opportunity for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager. - An Engineering Degree
- Refrigeration Experience
- 2-4 years managing a department
Reports to VP of Engineering
- Managing all aspects of engineering including - Product Design, Certifications, Documentations and Support.
- Manages all aspects of technical service including problem resolution, researching customer problems and providing solutions, tying in Tech support to engineering and production.
- Manages DOE testing and reporting
- Manages the engineering Test Labs and schedule accordingly
- Oversee new Products testing and compliance
- Manage refrigerants and refrigerant changes including self contained and remote models
- Works with production on changes to improve products and production efficiency.
- Ensure alternate suppliers for key components
- Ensure company compliance to agency standards including; UL, NSF,DOE, NRCan and other agencies as required to sell HMC products.
- Assigns daily activities to Engineering and Technical Support teams
- Provides Sales and Marketing support with products, options, line ups, special requests and information for spec sheets and marketing brochures.
- Liaison between the companies various factories.
- Works with accounting on budgets, staffing, expense control and inventory levels.
- Oversee CAD development and programming for Laser & Turret press and metal shop area.
- Participate in company Capital Equipment Review
- Recommend improvements to Engineering & Technical service area including test equipment, software systems, layouts, hardware and other items as needed to perform these functions.
