Job Summary:
Bomnin Automotive is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage electrical systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong technical aptitude and a passion for delivering top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install low voltage electrical systems, including wiring, control panels, and related equipment, following blueprints and technical specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on low voltage systems to ensure they remain in optimal condition and comply with safety standards.
- Troubleshooting: Utilize diagnostic equipment and your technical knowledge to identify and troubleshoot issues in low voltage systems.
- Repairs: Conduct repairs on low voltage systems, including but not limited to, security systems, fire alarms, telecommunications, and data networks.
- Parts Replacement: Replace faulty or worn-out parts and components, such as switches, relays, and connectors, to ensure reliable system performance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all services, repairs, and parts used. Prepare and submit detailed repair reports.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on low voltage systems, promoting a safe and secure working environment. Place a strong emphasis on workplace safety.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure repairs meet high-quality standards.
- Customer Communication: Interact professionally with customers, explaining repair issues and providing recommendations. Address customer inquiries and concerns.
- Efficiency: Work efficiently to complete tasks within established timeframes and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Tool Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment clean and in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
- Updating Job Knowledge: Stay current with industry advancements by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, and seeking continuous improvement in low voltage technician skills.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to provide updates on system repair progress.
- Perform System Repair: Execute system repair and maintenance work as outlined on the repair order efficiently and accurately, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
Safety Measures and Equipment:
A Low Voltage Technician at Bomnin Automotive may be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions daily, including live electrical wiring and confined spaces. To ensure safety, Bomnin Automotive provides various types of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Low Voltage Technicians are required to use PPE as needed to maintain a safe work environment.
