POSITION SUMMARY
GC Legacy Plumbing is seeking a motivated and licensed Apprentice Plumber to join our commercial construction team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for skill development and hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced journeyman and master plumbers. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and communicate effectively in English to ensure the smooth execution of plumbing projects in commercial construction settings. They will also be eager to learn, with a desire to continue to grow and develop their skills in order to achieve their personal, professional and financial goals through the work they perform in their role.

OBJECTIVES
● Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings in commercial properties.
● Work alongside journeyman plumbers to learn and execute plumbing tasks effectively.
● Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to understand job requirements.
● Ensure all work complies with state, local, and national plumbing codes.
● Identify and report plumbing issues to supervisors.
● Participate in testing and inspecting plumbing systems for functionality and code compliance.
● Work closely with journeyman plumbers, contractors, and other team members to ensure project timelines and standards are met.
● Communicate effectively in English with team members and supervisors.
● Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols on job sites.
● Ensure work complies with state, local, and national plumbing codes.
● Actively participate in on-the-job training to expand knowledge and skills.
● Maintain and update licenses and certifications as required by local regulations.
COMPETENCIES
● Basic understanding of plumbing tools, materials, and systems.
● Basic knowledge or plumbing codes and safety standards.
● Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
● Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● License: Valid Apprentice Plumber license in Texas.
● Experience: Minimum of 1 year in commercial plumbing or construction is preferred.
● Language Skills: Able to speak and understand English.
● Education: High school diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
● This position will require travel throughout Texas: up to 40%
