Position Overview:
We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Controller to lead the financial operations of our
growing home services company, operating across 3-4 locations. The ideal candidate will have 2-
5 years of experience managing a team, a proven track record in setting up systems and controls,
and strong expertise in accounts receivable and collection procedures. This role requires a hands-
on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled in optimizing financial processes
to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Oversight:
o Manage all aspects of accounting, including AR, AP, payroll, and general ledger.
o Develop and enforce effective AR and collection procedures to ensure healthy
cash flow.
o Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2. System and Control Implementation:
o Design and implement accounting systems, internal controls, and processes to
support growth.
o Optimize the integration and usage of Service Fusion (CRM) and accounting
software (QuickBooks Online).
o Ensure timely and accurate data reporting across all systems.
3. Team Leadership:
o Lead, mentor, and manage a team of admin staff, ensuring productivity and
accuracy.
o Establish clear performance goals and provide ongoing training and support.
o Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration across the finance team.
4. Strategic Financial Planning:
o Work with outside CPA to provide insights and recommendations to support
business decisions, including cost management and pricing strategies.
o Assist outside CPA in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for
multiple locations.
o Partner with operations to ensure financial alignment with company goals.
5. Compliance and Reporting:
o Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
5+ years of accounting experience, with 2-5 years managing a team.
Strong expertise in AR and collections, with a track record of improving cash flow.
Experience with Service Fusion and QuickBooks Online is a plus.
Exceptional analytical skills with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
Proven ability to set up systems, internal controls, and processes in a multi-location
business.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
