We are looking for a skilled and motivated HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, with the technical expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment. This role requires hands-on experience and a commitment to ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $31.20–$39.52
The exact offer will be based on education, experience, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
- Troubleshoot and adjust pilots, thermostats, burners, relays, transformers, heaters, and other electrical components.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify risks and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Work with ammonia refrigeration systems and perform necessary repairs.
- Use diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeters, refrigerant gauges, and other common HVAC instruments.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs and installations.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Keep accurate daily logs and records of maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with field service teams and provide technical guidance or on-the-job training.
- Address customer inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, standards, and emerging HVAC technologies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Valid and current driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience as an HVAC technician or mechanic.
- Relevant certifications in HVAC or refrigeration technologies.
- Strong knowledge of boilers, air conditioning systems, and refrigeration techniques.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools, including Ohmmeters.
- Welding experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
