Position Overview:
With a technical expertise in POWER, HVAC and control systems is qualified to troubleshoot, repair, start-up, installations, and assist in refurbishment of rental equipment. This position will support and service as Operations Lead on Major projects in assigned region. This position requires a extensive knowledge in power distribution, generators, chillers, and large HVAC equipment. Also supports branch operations as required.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supports large projects providing set-up and start-up support in region. Assists in the major repairs and maintenance of our fleet.
- Able to troubleshoot, repair, perform preventative maintenance and test large, air-cooled chillers, AC equipment and Generators.
- Able to travel to our branches and customer sites in assigned region to support/lead large project installation and start-up or assist technicians in technical support of products in regional branches.
- Able to function as an on-site turn-key project lead as required. And as project lead will interact with MAPR sales personnel, other on-site contractors, and customer.
- Able to test with minimal support.
- Able to lead other technicians on large projects and provide on-site support for those technicians as required.
- Although reports to Regional Service Manager, works under guidance from both the RSM and RGM.
- Provides assistance to branch operations as needed.
- Performs other tasks and/or projects that may be assigned or needed to support the shop work.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a Power/HVAC environment.
- Must have Universal Certification (EPA III).
- Understanding of generator and refrigerant systems plus best practices is required.
- Occasional travel required upon short notice.
- Must be certified to operate forklift.
- Crane operation experience is preferred.
- Shipping and receiving experience a plus.
- Basis proficiency in PC based programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, electronic mail and the internet is required.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external personnel.
- Must pass a DOT physical and drug test to operate company vehicles.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. of equipment using Mobile Air's safe lifting practices
- Willingness to learn and develop.
Work Schedule:
Travel is required for this position. This position may also require being available for evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons. Overtime and double-time pay rates apply for applicable hours worked.
