Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively on various projects. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial settings, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and repairs.
- Conduct tests using voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, including high voltage problems, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes and regulations as well as industry standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician or similar role.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical systems.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards.
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools specific to electrical work.
- Knowledge of high voltage systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively.
