Overview

Since 2009, Scientific Service Plus has been providing installation, maintenance, and repair services for laboratory and biomedical equipment in educational institutions and research laboratories nationwide. Currently, we require an additional technician for the San Francisco Bay Area. Technicians at Scientific Service Plus possess excellent problem-solving abilities and utilize their mechanical expertise to service specialized equipment. We seeking a candidate who is self-motivated, honest, capable of working independently, and reliable. In addition to having strong customer service skills, the candidate should demonstrate a desire to grow within our organization and be willing to commute to and from job sites on a daily basis. Scientific Service Plus welcomes technicians of all levels of experience, whether they are recent graduates or seasoned professionals. We take pride in fostering an environment that promotes continuous learning, skill development, and growth for technicians regardless of their initial level of experience upon joining our company.

Required:

· Class C Drivers License

· Maintain high level of customer service

· Clean driving record

· Associate/technical degree in HVAC

· Equivalent experience

Desired Qualifications:

· Experience working on biotech and research laboratory equipment

· EPA Universal certification

· Experience working safely with power tools

· Cascade Refrigeration

· Boiler Experience

Job Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis you will drive to the job site and work on one or more of the following:

· Installing lab equipment and providing start up training to end users

· Perform preventive maintenance checks

· Troubleshoot and/or repair equipment

Types of equipment Scientific Services Plus works with

· Refrigerators/Ultra-low freezers

· Sterilizers (Autoclaves)

· Environmental chambers & rooms

· Various types of washers

Other Job Necessities

· Ability to lift 50lbs

· Ability to climb up and down a ladder

· Be self-motivated

· Work with limited supervision

· Efficient computer skills; experience with Mac/Apple a plus

· Attention to detail

Salary: 30.00 – 50.00 per hour based on experience

**Pre-employment driving record, background check and drug test required

Due to a company vehicle being issued and the types of customers we

service you must pass all three
