Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and capable individual for our Maintenance Mechanic /all around shop help position.

We are a small, but steadily growing machine shop whose current maintenance manager has decided to retire.

This position is in a machine shop, and though it will require mechanical abilities, as well as basic electrical capabilities, we will also require general assistance around the facility when you're not busy with a repair. This would mean there are more than just 1 or 2 hats to wear.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of CNC and conventional metalworking machines within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, troubleshooting abilities, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team. The Maintenance Mechanic will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations. The position may also require basic wiring of machines, lights, etc. and more simple tasks as well.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Use voltmeters and ammeters to diagnose electrical issues and ensure proper functionality.
Keep the working parts moving, by responding promptly to maintenance requests from management.
Operate scissor lifts and forklifts safely for maintenance or other tasks at elevated heights.
Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to work with high voltage systems safely.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to provide customer service effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Resourcefulness in finding parts or components for repair of machinery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
