Essential Responsibilities/Duties

Interprets blueprints/drawings and general instructions for machinery and/or equipment specification and repair
Repairs and maintains electronic production equipment meeting organization standards
Troubleshoot and repair mixers, blenders, extruders, grinders and all other production equipment
Troubleshoot and repair any facet of plumbing as needed
Troubleshoot and repair vacuum systems, heating and air conditioning and boilers
Ensure minimum equipment downtime
Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery
Recommends equipment modifications for upgrades to supervisor
Completes appropriate forms to request parts, equipment and supplies for specified project(s)
Follows work orders to determine scheduled repairs and capital improvements
Ensures all safety and environmental policies/procedures are consistently demonstrated
Participates in decisions for discontinuing production operations in matters related to emergency repair of equipment

Qualifications

High School Diploma
Technical Training in related field
1-5 years of experience in manufacturing operations
HVAC and electrical certification preferred

Specific Skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Proven knowledge of extruders, belts, gears, chillers, hoppers, rollers, industrial mixers, blenders, grinders, and powered industrial trucks
Knowledge of ISO/TS
