Overview
We are seeking a skilled Production/Service Technician to join our team. This role involves board level repair with light soldering (wires and connectors), NIST calibration services, detailed cleaning of equipment, processing shipments, and handling the purchasing for a small number of vendors.

Job summary:

70% of the job is cleaning/calibrating/repairing bar code verifiers that customers send in for service, 20% is handling the purchasing (we work with 10 or so vendors), and the remaining 10% of the job is processing production orders
Our business has been around since 2004 and with the addition of the new salesperson in 2024 we have grown 15% this year and expect another 25% growth next year
It is a small team, all very long-term employees (other than the addition of a new sales person last year) the next most recent hire was in 2012
The key person for the role is someone that is very detail oriented and likes to work on a lot of different things – bouncing from desk/computer work, to working at a workbench fixing bar code verifiers, to walking around our shipping area processing orders
The current production person is going to move from part time with a sister business to full time at that company (in the same office space)
The key attributes for the ideal candidate are; interested in learning, being detail oriented, and being self-motivated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.92 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
