Position Summary

Southern Land Company, a national real estate development and construction firm is seeking a full-time Service Technician to join our dynamic team in Nashville, TN.

Vertis Green Hills is offering an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing world class customer service. The successful candidate must be reliable and always present a positive and professional image.

Vertis Green Hills is an amenity-filled, Class A++, luxury, high rise, rental property located in Nashville, TN. The unique asset is an 18-story property and includes apartment units with a mixed-use retail component.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for painting and repairing damaged walls.
Monitors and replaces lights as necessary.
Repairs and/or replaces windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, smoke alarms, baseboards, mirrors, closet doors, ceiling fans, mini blinds, faucets, sink plugs, washers, holes in the walls, and hangs drapes
Repair all appliances and reports problems to Maintenance Supervisor or General Manager.
Monitors and changes locks and make keys as necessary.
Performs repairs to sinks and bathtubs, and minor repairs and replacement of bathroom tile.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Solid teamwork skills with flexibility to adjust to changing project requirements and deadlines
Ability to anticipate maintenance needs of property
Must be able to climb stairs on regular basis
Must be available to assist with after-hours emergency situations
Must be reliable and present a positive, professional image
Ability to keep sensitive information highly confidential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion.
Ability to work independently, prioritize work and ask for further clarification when necessary.
Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, as well as the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Ability to lift/move 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally
Possible exposure to changing weather conditions and chemical fumes

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of practical experience
Fair Housing Training
Valid Drivers license and ownership of vehicle in good repair
