Commercial Journeyman Plumber Job Description

We are Growing! We're looking for a reliable, skilled Journeyman Plumber to join our fast-paced team!

Hours: Full-Time; Hourly, On-Call, After Hours, Overtime

Minimum Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 5+ years hands-on plumbing experience
Insurability: Must have a valid California State Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
Required Trainings: Must have completed all local, state, and federal trainings for position and responsibilities.
Flexibility: Must be available to work evenings, weekends and overtime.

General Responsibilities:

Leadership Skills: Must be an effective leader and coach to employees who are in your charge during the job or project.
Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Reading Blueprints: Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the layout and requirements of plumbing systems.
Pipefitting: Perform pipefitting tasks, including measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to fit specific project needs.
Fixture Installation: Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, faucets, toilets, water heaters, and other appliances.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, identifying the root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Collaboration: Coordinate with other construction professionals, including contractors and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems into overall construction projects.
Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their plumbing needs, provide estimates, and explain necessary repairs or installations.
Supervision: Provide guidance and mentorship to plumbing apprentices, overseeing their work and ensuring compliance with best practices.
Emergency Response: Respond to emergency plumbing situations promptly, providing quick and effective solutions to minimize downtime and damage.
Safety Compliance: Demonstrate and ensure all employees are adhering to the highest levels of safety and adhering to local, state, federal and Company rules, regulations, and policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: Several years of hands-on experience in plumbing, demonstrating proficiency in various plumbing tasks.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
Tools: Proficient in the use of plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, and soldering equipment.
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various environments, including tight spaces and heights.
Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex plumbing issues.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and other professionals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour
