Summary

The job of maintenance is done for the purpose(s) of providing maintenance services with specific responsibility for ensuring completion of assigned work order projects; performing a wide variety of skilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrical, ventilating systems, alarms, boilers, automotive repairs, HVAC, etc.); assisting other maintenance workers; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job sites. Must have extensive HVAC knowledge base.

Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Applies pesticides to site facilities.
Attends educational seminars and meetings.
Confers with immediate supervisor and assists with the coordination of day to day maintenance activities.
Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in various systems and vehicles.
Estimates labor and material costs for various jobs and projects.
Fabricates equipment parts when necessary.
Informs personnel, administration and other trades regarding procedures and/or status of work orders.
Inspects facilities, assigned vehicles and completed work.
Installs a wide variety of equipment and materials.
Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and records.
Maintains vehicle, tools and equipment.
Performs routine and preventative maintenance.
Performs a variety of skilled trade functions.
Repairs facilities, equipment, systems and vehicle systems and components.
Responds to rd calls for emergency service to vehicles.
Reviews blueprints, schematics and drawings.
Transports a variety of tools supplies and equipment.
