Join RPK Development Corp. as we continue expanding our portfolio with this brand new, 70-unit apartment community in San Bernardino, near Loma Linda, California. This position will work 3 days per week at this lovely new complex and 2 days per week at one of our apartment communities in Riverside.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Property Manager the Porter is responsible for the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of the property, including the grounds, amenities, building exterior, leasing office, parking facilities and other common areas of the property. This position will also assist in apartment turns and lite property maintenance as well as for the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of the property, including the grounds, amenities, building exterior, leasing office, parking facilities and other common areas of the property. This is a full-time position between both properties.

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to the following:

Must have the knowledge, experience and ability to perform:

Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the property in line with established standards, including the grounds, building exteriors, breezeways, hallways, stairwells, leasing office, pool and spa areas, amenities and other common areas.

Cleans and sanitizes all public restrooms.

Sweeps, mops, scrubs, dusts, and vacuums hallways, stairs, office space and other public areas.

Operates equipment necessary to strip and wax floors, shampoo carpets, and pressure wash.

Maintains exterior public and common areas, such as parking facilities, walkways, mail rooms, laundry rooms (if applicable), pool and spa areas, etc., by removing debris, sweeping, and washing down

Assist with work orders and unit turnovers

Minor Plumbing repairs

Minor Electrical repairs

Minor Appliance repairs

Drywall repairs/painting

Minor HVAC repairs

Porter/Jr. Maintenance is responsible for complying with the company’s and community’s operating and safety policies and procedures and for adhering to federal, state and/or local laws pertaining to the operation of the property.

Porter/Jr. Maintenance is also responsible for complying with all federal, state and/or local laws relating to Fair Housing.

Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Prior work experience in similar environment.

Must have excellent customer service skills and maintain a friendly and respectful approach with residents and staff.

Must know how to use appropriate equipment and cleaning supplies; must have the ability to safely operate equipment where necessary.

Must be able to handle daily responsibilities and projects with minimal direction.

Must be reliable in attendance, quality and quantity of work.

Must be able to read, write and speak English to successfully interact with residents and staff.

Must be able to solve practical problems and make decisions where standardization generally exists; Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Must be willing to deliver exceptional customer service as an important member of the property management team, providing a high-quality living environment.

Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
