NTS is hiring an Electrician – Apprentice to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes.

Responsibilities:

Serves as the technical point of contact for electrical work provided to clients on-site. Inspects electrical systems/equipment/components to identify hazards/defects/etc. to ensure compliance with applicable codes.4
Responds to the needs and questions of users concerning their electrical needs, resolving problems as they occur (regularly requires on-site visits).
Recommends or performs minor remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of electrical equipment. Escalates issues as needed.
Submit reporting of work completed and other necessary business reports as required (timesheets, expense reports, etc.)
Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, and equipment/fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Tests systems and work completed ensuring compatibility and safety of the system.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, Military Service, and/or 0-2 years related experience and/or training in electrical work related environment.
Ability to utilize electrical planning/applications/tools/documentation.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.
High degree of customer service skills, flexibility and an overall team approach to work performed.
Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, climb ladders, use hands to handle/feel/reach, talk, and hear. Regularly lift 50-75 lbs. occasionally lift/move 100 lbs.
Must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s license and maintain auto insurance.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Pay: $28 – $30 per hour
