Job description

We are looking for a skilled Overnight Maintenance/Houseman worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs, cleaning, and security. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are secure, tidy, and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.

Responsibilities

Perform minor/major fixes such as broken locks, painting, drywall, PTAC units, ect.
Daily preventative maintenance on guest rooms/public space
Install appliances and equipment
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
Daily check of grounds to ensure first impressions
Trash removal
Security walks around the hotel
Address Security concerns
Maintain cleanliness of public areas
Assist in other areas as needed and as directed by management

Skills

Proven experience in maintenance, preferably a hotel environment
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
Experience using hand and electrical tools
Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
Very good communication and interpersonal skills
Physical stamina and dexterity
High school diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
