Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Installation: Install and start-up commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and ice machines.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely.
Repairs: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in refrigeration systems, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and system performance.
Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, providing clear explanations of work performed and recommendations for future maintenance or repairs.
Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration installation, maintenance, and repair.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training in HVAC/R preferred.
Certification: EPA Universal Certification required; additional certifications a plus.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems and components.
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and withstand various working conditions, including extreme temperatures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
