Sneed & Mitchell LLP is looking for a motivated writer who can create clean and compelling copy for our leading personal injury law firm's blogs.

The content writer will craft compelling angles for our blogs based on news stories of local interest, and will also distill sources such as web research, original interviews with attorneys, and court documents into frequent and compelling blog posts, press releases, and articles each week.

In essence, the content will pack the punch of an informative local news story or legal information website aimed at a non-legal audience, while helping to market the firm's services to those looking for legal representation.

Requirements

Three years of experience in journalism or writing in a marketing and communications capacity. Experience writing for SEO is very helpful, but not required. If you have SEO experience, the resume needs to highlight the extent of experience.

An ability to tackle everything from a few concise lines of copy to daily, 1,000+ word blog posts and larger writing projects. An ability to pitch coverage topics and a curiosity for researching and writing about new ideas.

Experience writing about the law is not required, but a willingness to learn is essential.

Knowledge of AP Style is not required, but preferred.

Must be able to work in the Texas office if/when needed.
