Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing electrical equipment throughout the facility. Leads, guides, and/or trains other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques; coordinates system repairs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Installs, repairs, and maintains the electrical parts of industrial equipment.
Follows safety procedures and adheres to electrical codes.
Correctly interprets technical documents for proper execution of assignments.
Conducts quality assurance measures and inspections.
Works with maintenance, quality, and production personnel to analyze problems and to reduce operating downtime and to improve operations.
Submits reports concerning condition of equipment and need for repairs or replacement.
·Instructs electrical repair personnel and other personnel on hazards and electrical and electronic safety procedures.
Reports unsolved problems or changes in equipment or method of operation to Maintenance Superintendent.
Repairs electrical/electronic equipment throughout the facility.
Schedules or performs preventative maintenance to electrical/electronic equipment throughout the facility.
Performs any other functions deemed necessary by the Supervisor and Maintenance Superintendent.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledgeable in pertinent electrical codes and regulations.
Able to understand schematics and other technical documents.
Must be able to handle physically-demanding tasks

Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree in a related field is required.
Certificate of completion in an apprenticeship program, or journeyman experience.
3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
