Duties

As an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic Leader, you must have:

Journeyman level knowledge of advanced principles and theories of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating and ventilation, heat transfer laws, refrigerant tables, air flow calculations, and pressure temperature characteristics for different systems
Knowledge of installing valves, heating and cooling dampers, motors in complex integrated systems using industry standard practices including brazing
Ability to repair and troubleshoot a variety of compressors (i.e., gear, reciprocating, centrifugal, screw, rotary pump), and refrigerant and heating controls (i.e., low- and high-pressure side- floats, automatic thermostatic expansion valves, capillary)
Knowledge and use of the Building Automation Systems (BAS), and computer skills using basic software to manage multiple complex projects and track work hours on spreadsheets for ACEM apprentices
Knowledge of industry standard calibration equipment used to identify, repair, modify, and calibrate complex commercial and industrial systems for manufacturing and support operations
You must possess a Universal (Type I, II, and III) license for refrigeration.

Pay: $35.14 - $41.01 per hour
